Holiday hotspots or housing headaches?
Airbnbs as a percentage of private dwellings across New Zealand districts
Utilising Inside Airbnb's scraped dataset and 2023 census data for private dwellings, I mapped the percentage of housing in each of New Zealand's districts that was listed for bookings as an Airbnb.
An extension of New Zealand's housing crisis, holiday destinations are particularly difficult for seasonal workers to find affordable housing -- these seasonal workers are essential for tourism operators to continue their trade.

Keeping in theme with the alliteration
Mini-project that takes Christchurch Metro's GTFS feeds and alters the bus route shapes by snapping the paths to OpenStreetMap roads. Uses Valhalla and its routing engine.
